Support Worker - Illawarra and Shoalhaven

We're looking for compassionate, reliable Support Workers to join the Individual Me family. In this role you'll be working alongside NDIS participants across the Illawarra and Shoalhaven, helping them build independence, connect with their community, and live life on their own terms.

Whether you're supporting someone in their home or out in the community, you'll be making a real and lasting difference — one day at a time.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing in-home support with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and domestic tasks

  • Supporting participants in the community. Attending appointments, social activities, and community programs

  • Assisting with transport and access to community services

  • Building authentic, trusting relationships with participants and their families

  • Completing accurate shift notes and documentation in line with NDIS requirements

  • Communicating effectively with the Individual Me team to ensure consistent, quality care

What we're looking for

  • A genuine passion for supporting people with disability to live their best lives

  • Strong communication skills and a warm, patient approach

  • Reliable, punctual and committed to the people you support

  • Certificate III in Individual Support

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle

  • Right to work in Australia

Experience & background

  • Experience working in disability, aged care, or a caring role is highly regarded

  • Lived experience of disability is welcome and valued
